Men’s health

Erectile dysfunction is common. In a Canadian study of men over forty seen by their family doctor, 49.4% met the diagnostic criteria for erectile dysfunction (Grover et al., Archives of Internal Medicine, 2006).

It can also be an early marker of something else. Erectile dysfunction has been associated with subsequent cardiovascular disease (Thompson et al., JAMA, 2005), and it can be an early sign of diabetes or high blood pressure.

That is why it warrants a full assessment rather than a prescription alone.

What the assessment covers

  • Full history and review of every medication
  • Blood pressure and heart health assessment
  • Blood tests including testosterone, cholesterol and blood sugar
  • Examination where indicated
  • A clear explanation of every option, including those not offered here

How it works here

No referral is needed. Booking is confidential. Appointments are private, in a standalone room, with no shared waiting area for this service.

The assessment addresses the root cause — vascular, hormonal, metabolic and medication factors — because treating what is actually wrong is what produces lasting change.
