Provided at your request
Comprehensive preventive physical
A general preventive physical examination requested by a patient, in the absence of a medical indication, is not a benefit under the Medical Services Plan. It is provided at your request and paid for privately.
Anything found during the examination that requires medical assessment or investigation is insured care, and is billed to MSP rather than to you.
What it includes
- An extended appointment, unhurried
- Full history, including family history and occupational history
- Complete physical examination
- Blood pressure, heart and lung assessment
- A review of screening due and screening completed
- A review of every medication and supplement you take
- A written summary of findings and recommendations
In the clinic or at home
The examination is normally carried out in the clinic. At your request it can be carried out at home. Fees are provided when booking.
