Cryotherapy

Cryotherapy freezes a small skin lesion with liquid nitrogen. The treatment takes a few seconds per lesion, and the area may blister and crust before healing.

Where a lesion is medically significant, its assessment and treatment are insured and billed to the Medical Services Plan. Where a benign lesion is treated at your request for cosmetic reasons, MSP does not provide coverage and the treatment is paid for privately.
